This day was our chapter's day to celebrate the ancient tradition of Tet Trung Thu, which is a festival held every year in Vietnam to celebrate the harvest, and parents love for their children. It has been described as a combination of Halloween and Thanksgiving. We had a homemade dragon which was used for the dragon and lantern parade. Our kids sure did a great job, with the older kids taking the lead and helping the younger ones along. Many of the children wore native Vietnamese attire, and a high point was when parents and children alike, participated in the dragon parade, carrying lanterns. Approximately 65 parents and children attended, and we feasted on a deliciously catered Vietnamese meal.
